1 wicket for Pakistan turned the match around, Naseem Shah did wonders

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team finally got their first win in ICC T20 World Cup. After losing two matches in a row, everyone from fans to stalwarts were waiting for Babar Azam’s team to open the account of victory. Points have appeared next to Pakistan’s name in the points table and their hopes of making it to the next round are alive. A wicket in the match against Canada turned the match around for the team.

After two consecutive defeats in the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s account of victory has opened. The hosts America and then the Indian team forced Babar Azam’s army to its knees. The World Cup match against Canada was do-or-die for the team and here they relieved the fans with a win. In this match, on the back of good bowling, Team Canada managed to restrict Canada to just 106 runs and then achieved the target with the loss of 3 wickets.

The match against Canada also became difficult for the Pakistan team. From one side the bowlers were taking wickets and from the other side the onslaught was on. Aaron Johnson alone had news of Pakistan’s bowlers. The opener took the lead by hitting 4 fours and as many sixes. Naseem Shah sent him back with clean bowling in the 14th over.

Had this in-form batsman not been dismissed, the score would certainly have been different. Had Canada scored 130 or 135 runs, Babar Azam’s team would have been in trouble. Johnson was dismissed for 52 off 44 balls at a strike rate of 118.
