India won the Chess World Cup when R Pragnanandan was not even born. In such a situation, this teenager has reached the threshold of getting one more title for the country.

India last won the Chess World Cup in 2002. Meanwhile, Viswanathan Anand made the country the world champion. Grandmaster Pragyananda of India was not even born at that time. Viswanathan Anand also managed to win the World Cup in 2000. Since then, no Indian has even made it to the top 4. However, now India has a chance to win the title and it can be made possible by 2005-born Rameshbabu Pragyananda.
