39-year-old all-rounder becomes No. 1, big change in rankings between T20 World Cups, only one Indian in top-10

New Delhi. There has been a big change in the ICC rankings between the T20 World Cups. Afghanistan’s players have benefited the most in the ICC Player Rankings. 39-year-old Mohammad Nabi has become the world’s No. 1 all-rounder with a brilliant performance in the T20 World Cup. He has taken away the number-1 position from Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. Hardik Pandya has also gained in the all-rounders rankings.

The ICC announced the new player rankings on Wednesday. Mohammad Nabi jumped two places to become No.1. Australia’s Marcus Stoinis also jumps three places to second place. Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe is fourth and England’s Livim Livingston and Moeen Ali are sixth and seventh respectively.

Shakib Al Hasan, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasranga, Dasun Shanaka, Pakistan’s Shadab Khan have suffered significant losses in the latest ICC rankings. Shakib has slipped four places from the top spot to the fifth spot. Hasaranga has slipped two places to the third position. Dasun Shanaka and Shadab Khan have dropped 3 places to 14th and 15th respectively.

Hardik Pandya has improved his ranking by one place. Now it has moved from ninth to eighth place. Pandya is the only Indian in the top-10. Akshar Patel has jumped 3 places to reach the 17th number-3.
