New Delhi. The Indian team has been performing brilliantly so far in the T20 World Cup 2024. In the league stage, Rohit Sharma’s team defeated Ireland, Pakistan and America one after the other. Now the Indian cricketers have to face Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Australia in the Super-8. Sharma G & Company reached the World Cup with a total of 15 cricketers. So far, Sanju Samson, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have not been given a chance in a single match. Looking at the way the players of the Indian team are performing with the bat and the ball, it seems that most of them will have to sit on the bench and return to India.

Yashaswi Jaiswal: The left-handed batsman has been named as an opener in Team India’s T20 World Cup squad. Usually Virat Kohli used to play at number-3 in Team India. Virat is opening with Hitman in the World Cup. In such a situation, it seems difficult for Yashaswi Jaiswal to get more opportunities.

Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson has been included in Team India as a wicketkeeper batsman. Sanju is in great form right now. But Rishabh Pant’s bat, who is already in the playing-11, is also scoring a lot of runs in the T20 World Cup. In such a situation the captain does not want to tamper with his winning combination. Sanju is finding it difficult to get opportunities in future.

Yuzvendra Chahal: Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was seen sitting on the bench with Team India till now. UG was not played as fast bowlers got more help on American pitches. Now India will not have any confrontation with America. An additional spinner may be given a chance considering the West Indies pitches. But still UG finds it difficult to get a chance.

Kuldeep Yadav: Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is currently the first choice in Team India’s spin battery. Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion in the playing XI is certain if Rohit gives an opportunity to an additional spinner during the matches to be played in the West Indies. Yuzvendra Chahal can also be included in the playing eleven only if India gives a chance to two full time spinners. However, to do this, the captain will have to sit out one of spin all-rounders Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. This does not seem easy.
