According to the New York Times, this amount is about 55 million dollars. Which is 440 crore rupees in Indian currency. It happens. Director Carl Rinsch was entrusted with the responsibility of completing the show. Even then, many show makers wondered how Netflix could bet so big on a newcomer. Carl Rinsch had directed only one film before such a big project. Which was called 47 Ronin.
Not a single episode has been produced
Despite spending such a huge amount, the show could not be completed. According to the New York Times, the main reason for this was the director’s behavior. First he was caught up in Covid-19, then his divorce case continued. Due to which the work of the show could not be completed by the deadline. Netflix has also paid Rs 90 crore to the director for this show. There are also speculations that the director bought a Rolls Royce car, Ferrari, furniture and many designer clothes with this amount.
