After the T20 World Cup, India has to play with 6 teams Team India will tour Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in July-August
New Delhi. Even after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Team India’s schedule is set to remain busy. The Indian team is currently in America where they have to play a World Cup league match in New York. After this, Team India will go on a tour of West Indies. West Indies and America are going to jointly host the T20 World Cup. After the World Cup, the Indian team will play 32 matches with 6 different teams till Champions Trophy 2025. During this period, the Indian team will play some series at home and some away.
After the end of T20 World Cup 2024, Indian team will tour Zimbabwe (IND vs ZIM) in July. A series of 5 T20 matches will be played between the two teams in this tour. The first T20 match of the series will be played on July 6 while the fifth and final match will be played on July 14. After this, Team India will travel to Sri Lanka (IND vs SL) where they will play a series of 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches with the host team. Senior players may be rested for the tour of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Young players can be tried out during this period.
The Indian team will play 5 Tests in the Border Gavaskar series
After returning from the Sri Lanka tour, the Indian team will host Bangladesh and New Zealand. India will play 3 T20 and 2 Test matches against Bangladesh. After this, Team India will host New Zealand at home. Both the teams will face each other in a 3 test match series. After this, the Indian team will face Australia in the 5-match Border Gavaskar Test series at home. Earlier, a 4-match Test series was played between the two teams, but later both the teams will play 5 Test matches under this series.
The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Pakistan
India’s Australia tour will start from November 22. The fifth and final Test match of the Border Gavaskar series will be played from January 3. After this, the Indian team will host England at home for a series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches. After the series with England, the Indian team will play in the Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Pakistan. India does not want to go to Pakistan to play Champions Trophy. It can be organized in February-March. After this the players of Team India will be busy in the 18th season of IPL.
