Adani Group shares surged, NDTV was the biggest gainer

Indian stock markets continued their bullish streak on Friday with BSE and NSE registering significant gains. BSE’s benchmark Sensex ended up 2.16 percent or 1618.85 points at 76693.36, though it had touched 76795.31 during the trade. The NSE Nifty also closed up 2.05 per cent or 468.75 points at 23290.15. Nine shares of the Adani Group saw spectacular gains during the trading session, with NDTV being the top gainer.

Shares of NDTV rose 4.43 percent, while Adani Energy rose 2.01 percent. Shares of Adani Power rose 1.906 percent and Adani Ports rose 1.88 percent. Shares of ACC Cement rose 1.8 percent on Friday, while shares of Ambuj Cement also gained 1.75 percent.

Shares of Adani Group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises also rose by 0.94 percent and shares of Adani Total Gas by 0.89 percent. Shares of Adani Wilmar also gained 0.45 percent on Friday.

It is to be noted that after Tuesday’s fall, the stock markets have seen a continuous upswing for the last three days and investors have made a profit of around ₹ 26 lakh crore in the last three trading days due to the rise in stocks. BSE’s market cap also rose to ₹421 lakh crore on Friday, from ₹395 lakh crore on Tuesday.

On Friday, the market was bullish all around. Nifty Midcap rose 480 points or 0.92 per cent to 52,893 points and Nifty Smallcap gained 303 points or 1.81 per cent to 17,130 points.
