There is good news for students who scored 75 percent or more marks in B.Tech. They can take admission in PhD without doing M.Tech. Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology has an opportunity for this. Such students who have passed B.Tech with 75 percent marks or more are eligible for M.Tech as well as PhD. You can apply for MTech till 30th June. The National Education Policy-2020 stipulates that students who have secured 75 per cent or more marks in a four-year undergraduate course can take direct admission to Ph.D. Keeping in view the provisions of NEP, the UGC has made extensive changes regarding the Research Ordinance from session 2024. Following the guidelines of UGC, MMMUT included it in its research ordinance. Now it’s starting. The last date to apply for admission to M.Tech is 30 June.

On the demand of the students, the university administration has extended it till July 2. MMMUT has to take admission in total 48 seats of Ph.D. There are many fellowship opportunities in Ph.D.

MMMUT Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Saini said, ‘Students who have secured 75 per cent or more marks in B.Tech can directly take admission in Ph.D. Such students are eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D along with M.Tech. Provisions of NEP and new guidelines of UGC are being implemented.
