New Delhi: Payal Kapadia’s film ‘All We Imagine As Light’ has created history by winning the ‘Le Grand Prix’ award at the Cannes Film Festival, earning the filmmaker praise across the country. Many Bollywood stars besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him for his special achievement, but when the ‘Film and Television Institute of India’ (FTII) tweeted congratulating him, many netizens including Ali Fazal started criticizing the institute.
In fact, FTII filed a case against several other students, including Payal Kapadia, as they opposed the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan to the post of chairman of the institute and raised questions about his suitability for the post.
