New Delhi: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is in police custody in actress Renuka Swamy’s murder case. New revelations are being made in the police investigation. He allegedly bribed three people with Rs 15 lakh in exchange for taking responsibility for the murder. He promised to give 5 lakh rupees to each person. He was arrested on June 11.
A food delivery agent found Renuka Swamy’s body lying in a drain in Bangalore, where it was being scratched by dogs. He immediately reported the incident to the police. According to media reports, Renuka was accused of sending lewd messages to Darshan’s costar and girlfriend Pavitra Gowda. Harassing the actress through social media and talking to her in offensive language could be the main reason behind Renuka’s murder.
Before the murder, Renuka Swamy was badly beaten.
To complete his task, Darshan used a person named Raghavendra alias Raghu to get information about Renuka. Raghu is associated with his fan club. The deceased’s wife has accused Raghu of picking her up near their house. The police have revealed in their investigation that Ranuka Swamy was beaten badly by tying him with a rope before killing him.
Police arrested 13 people including Darshan
13 people including Darshan and Pavitra have been arrested in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Bangalore Police Commissioner B Dayanand said that they will investigate the matter in depth. “Criminals will be punished according to law without any mercy,” he said. State Home Minister G Parameshwar has released the police to take action against Darshan and other accused.
