Now the period of introspection has started in the party regarding this. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign. He has appealed to the High Command to relieve him of this responsibility. Devendra Fadnavis says he takes responsibility for the results in Maharashtra, as he himself was leading the party in the state.

Let us tell you that this meeting was held on Wednesday itself, in which the results of the Lok Sabha elections were discussed.

Let us tell you that BJP has got only 9 seats in Maharashtra whereas in 2019 BJP won 23 seats in the state. This time BJP has got only 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

He said that the party’s performance was analyzed in the meeting and related discussions took place. This time the BJP and its allies have won 17 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The BJP got less than half the seats it had last time, while the opposition alliance of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar), won 30 out of 48 seats.

The BJP-led NDA has fallen well short of its target of over 45 seats in Maharashtra, securing just 17 seats. Congress has won 13 seats compared to only one seat in the state last time. Shiv Sena (UBT) has won nine seats and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) has won eight seats.
