New Delhi. Young wicketkeepers Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were left out of the BCCI’s list of central contracted players for the 2023-24 season. Many former cricketers gave different reactions to this. Jai Shah has said in a statement that it was not I Ishaan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer but Ajit Agarkar himself removed them from the list.
Talking to the media, Jai Shah said, “You can see the constitution, I am only the head of the select assembly. This was Ajit Agarkar’s decision and he dropped Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the central list. Those who did not participate in domestic cricket. So this whole decision was taken by him. My role is to select new players and I have named Sanju Samson as one of the new players.
