After the 5th phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024, all the parties have put their full strength in the election campaign of the 6th phase. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in election rallies. On many forums, PM Modi has addressed both the leaders as ‘Prince’. Now Akhilesh Yadav has hit back at PM Modi. He has said that in this election you will see that the princes will checkmate and the people will defeat them.

Addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Sravasti on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said, “Two boy duos are starting again in Uttar Pradesh. Same old flop film, same old characters, same dialogues – you tell me, elections.” Almost done, have you heard anything new from them?
It is worth mentioning that ‘Prince’ taunt has been used against Rahul Gandhi by BJP and PM Modi. Other India Alliance leaders, Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, have also hit out at the BJP, calling them princes.
Mallikarjun Kharge also targeted PM Modi
Among India’s alliance partners, the Samajwadi Party is contesting 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress 17 seats and the Trinamool Congress the remaining one seat. BJP won 62 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While in 2014 elections, BJP got 71 seats. Voting is going on in the seven phases of the ongoing elections in the state. Polling for the sixth phase will be held on Saturday and the seventh phase on June 1, followed by counting on June 4.
