Q- At what level is NEET exam conducted?
Answer- NEET is an eligibility test for admission to medical courses. Its examination is conducted at two levels, first is undergraduate (UG) and second is post-graduate (PG).

Answer- In NEET UG, the exam is conducted for medical courses like MBBS, BDS, while in NEET PG, the exam is conducted for medical courses like MS and MD. This exam is conducted every year.
Q- Why and how NEET entrance exam was started?
Answer- Before the introduction of NEET entrance exam, various exams were conducted for admission to medical courses in India. Of these, AIPMT was conducted by CBSE, while each state conducts separate medical entrance tests. In such a situation, every student had to give more than one medical entrance test every year. Due to this there was a lot of pressure on the students and they also had to spend a lot on the application form and fees for appearing in the exam. In view of this situation NEET exam was started to save the time of students. After which now it is necessary to clear the NEET exam to get admission in the medical course.

Ans- NEET was proposed to be conducted from the year 2012, but NEET was conducted for the first time on 5th May 2013 across India for the students seeking admission in UG and PG medical courses. This announcement has been made by the Medical Council of India (MCI). However, many states at that time expressed their disagreement over the exam, after which a case was filed against the exam and it was not conducted in the years 2014 and 2015.
