Another shocking feat of Uttarakhand Police has come to light. The sub-inspector sent back the victim who came from the police station with a written complaint in English. In fact, the inspector could not read the complaint in English and instructed the victim to bring the complaint written in Hindi.
The next day, Wednesday, when the victim again reached the police gate citing the Vice President’s program, the victim was sent back again. The case is of Kathgodam police station. Even after 24 hours after chasing the tax assistant of income tax department who reached the police station with the complaint of being hit with a bike, the police did not register a crime.
Gopal Dixit, who lives in Adarsh Colony near Kathgodam Railway Station, is a tax assistant in the Income Tax Department. He said that on Tuesday evening he was walking near his house as usual. Meanwhile, two people on a bike hit his leg. After this the accused started brawling with him.
After some time the accused youths came to his area and beat him with sticks. Somehow he saved his life. After this he along with his colleagues reached the Kathgodam police station with a written complaint in English. It is alleged that an inspector here did not read the complaint written in English. He asked to bring a written complaint in Hindi.
At six o’clock on Wednesday evening, he wrote a complaint in Hindi and again reached the Kathgodam police station. It is alleged that the women police personnel of the police station turned them away saying that today, Wednesday and Thursday, all the police personnel have gone for VIP duty at the Vice President’s event. Hence he should come to the police station with his complaint on Friday. Said that his life is in danger and the police are rushing to register a case.
