Annu Kapoor’s film Hamare Barah has released in theaters today (June 21) following the decision of the Bombay High Court. Before the release of the film, Annu Kapoor and the makers of the film held a press conference to promote the film. In fact Annu Kapoor’s film Hamara Barah was accused of insulting Islam. The court held a hearing and allowed the release of the film after removing the objectionable scenes and dialogues. In such a situation, a journalist asked a question during a press conference and said, ‘Sanjay Leela Bhansali also makes films, but never speaks ill of any community’. Annu Kapoor got angry after hearing this.
Annu Kapoor said, “Did Sanjay Leela Bhansali portray Hinduism in ‘Padmaavat’ in a very respectful manner?” I do not belong to any religion. I am an atheist man. I didn’t do any religious polemics, I don’t have that much arrogance. The person you just named, what kind of films he makes and how much he has insulted Hinduism… even shoes and chappals are worn on him.
