Another character’s journey from Star Plus’ popular serial Anupama is coming to an end. Viewers were shocked when Anupama’s son Toshu aka Ashish Malhotra posted to quit the show. During an interview, Ashish revealed how at first he didn’t feel much of a difference but when he realized that he was breaking up with Anupama, he started crying. Although Ashish has not officially revealed what his future plans are, some reports claim that he will participate in Khatron or Khiladi 14.

After Anupama’s son Samar, now it’s Toshu’s farewell time. Ashish Malhotra is very emotional after leaving the show. Speaking to ETimes, he said, “Overall, I got a lot to do on the show. The show was like a journey for me. There were many twists and turns on this route. This made it challenging but also fun and exciting. I am grateful to the viewers for their love and support.

Ashish revealed how difficult it was for him to part with the show. He said, Toshu will always be with me. Honestly, if I told you this yesterday, it was a lot of fun on set. I didn’t even realize it. I felt that whatever happened, once I decided I did it. Luckily, the makers of the show relented and gave their blessing to go ahead. However, on the morning of May 9, I woke up with tears in my eyes. It took me a while to figure out what was going on.
