All the Super-8 teams of T20 World Cup 2024 have now been finalised. Rohit Sharma’s team is scheduled to play Super-8 matches on June 20, 22 and 24. India’s matches will be against Australia, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
New Delhi. The last and final Super-8 squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced today. The names of the two teams for the Super-8 match against India have been announced. Today, Bangladesh has become the third team, against which Rohit Sharma captained team will face in the next round. Today, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 21 runs to secure their place in the Super-8. Netherlands team also lost badly against Sri Lanka. In such a situation, Bangladesh did not face much difficulty in making it to the next round from Group D. South Africa have already made their place in this group.
All the teams that have made it to the Super-8, including India, have to play three matches each. The team that wins at least two of the three matches will secure their place in the semi-finals. India is part of Group-1 of the Super-8. Teams from Australia, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will face each other in this group. Rohit Sharma and Co. are now scheduled to play their next Super-8 match against Afghanistan on June 20. Then Team India will play their second match against Bangladesh. Finally, Team India’s third and last Super-8 match will be played against Australia on June 14. All these matches will now be played in West Indies.
The Indian team defeated Ireland by eight wickets in the first league stage. After this, Pakistan was defeated by six wickets. Rohit Sharma and Co won their third match against USA by seven wickets. Team India’s last match was against Canada, but it was washed out due to rain. America has qualified for the Super-8 from India’s group.
