As the finals began, the dream of 3 Indian cricketers was shattered, the moment they had worked so hard for was far away.

New Delhi. At least three Indian players’ dreams were dashed as Rohit Sharma announced the playing XI for the T20 World Cup final. For the India and South Africa final, captain Rohit relied on the same playing XI that won the semi-final. With this it has been decided that Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson and Yashaswi Jaiswal will return home without playing a single match in T20 World Cup 2024.

India selected 15 members for T20 World Cup 2024. Out of which only 12 players got a chance to play the match. Captain Rohit Sharma kept his batting lineup the same from the first match to the final in the tournament. All-rounders Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dube also played all the matches. There was only one change in the bowling lineup.

In the first four matches played in America, Rohit Sharma gave three specialist fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj a chance in the playing eleven. After the American round, the Indian team reached West Indies for the Super-8 and knockout matches. With West Indies coming in, captain Rohit added a spinner to the bowling lineup and replaced Siraj with Kuldeep Yadav.

In this way Mohammad Siraj was seen sitting on the bench in the match played in West Indies. While Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson and Yashaswi Jaiswal did not get a chance to play a single match in the entire tournament. Every cricketer’s dream is to play and win the World Cup. Chahal, Sanju Samson and Yashaswi Jaiswal came very close to their dream of playing in the T20 World Cup, but could not play.

India’s Playing XI: Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah.

South Africa Playing XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Reza Hendricks, Aiden Markram (capt), Tristan Stubbs, Henrik Klaasen, David Miller, Marco Jensen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Enrique Norcia, Tabrez Shamsi.
