Assange returns from 14-year ‘residence’, emotional to see father, hugs wife

New Delhi: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was released from prison on Wednesday after a 14-year legal battle. After this he returned to his home in Australia as a free man. He was received in Canberra by his wife, father and his followers. A video of Assange hugging his wife and father is quickly going viral.

In the video, Assange can be seen stepping off a private jet at Canberra Airport, waving to the media and his followers before hugging his wife Stella. He then hugged his father John Shipton before entering the terminal building with his legal team.
