Australia’s T20 World Cup squad announced, Smith out, fearsome batsman becomes captain

New Delhi. After the arrival of India’s ICC T20 World Cup team, Australia has also announced its squad. Cricket Australia on Wednesday, May 1 announced the 15-man squad for the tournament to be hosted by the US and West Indies Cricket Board. Mitchell Marsh has been named the captain of the team for this mega ICC tournament. Delhi Capitals’ Jack Fraser McGurk, who is making a splash in the Indian Premier League, has not been featured. Veteran Steve Smith has also not been named in the squad.

Australia has also announced its squad for the ICC T20 World Cup to be played from June 1 to 29 this year. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been named in the 15-man squad by the selectors. Pat Cummins is part of the squad but will play as a player. Veteran Steve Smith has been left out of the T20 World Cup squad by the selectors.
