Big blow to petrol and diesel after election, price increase by 3.5 rupees here

After the Lok Sabha elections, common people have got a big shock on petrol and diesel. The Karnataka government on Saturday increased the sales tax on fuel. According to official sources, petrol will now cost Rs 3 and diesel Rs 3.5 per liter in the state. According to the notification of the finance department, the government has increased the sales tax on petrol from 25.92 percent to 29.84 percent. At the same time, there was an increase of 4.1 per cent on diesel, from 14.34 to 18.44 per cent. This notification will come into effect with immediate effect.

The ruling Congress has won nine seats in the state. This step has been taken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah after reviewing the revenue and financial position of the state. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also handles the finance department. Petrol and Diesel Prices in Delhi

Domestic prices of petrol and diesel remain stable amid fluctuating international crude oil prices. Petrol is being sold at Rs 94.72 per liter and diesel at Rs 87.62 per liter in the country’s capital Delhi. According to the rates published on the website of major oil marketing company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country. While in Mumbai, petrol remained at Rs 104.21 per liter and diesel at Rs 92.15 per litre.
