Big decision on NEET: NTA tells Supreme Court- Grace Marks cancelled, 1563 students will get option to re-exam.

The Supreme Court is hearing the NEET exam result dispute. Hearing is going on in three petitions filed regarding scam in NEET examination (NEET examination scam). NTA has given the option of re-examination to students who have grace marks in NEET. In this way now 1563 students have to retake the exam. His score card has been cancelled. The exam will be re-conducted on June 23 and the result will be declared by June 30. The Supreme Court has refused to ban NEET counselling. Arguments are being made in the court regarding the grace marks given to the students in the examination.

Supreme Court- How many centers did students lose time at?

NTA- 6 Centres

Supreme Court – How many candidates?

NTA-1563

Supreme Court – then everything is covered?

J Sai Deepak: So please also consider those people whose time was lost but they did not approach the court.

Supreme Court- means wait till the last minute. Sorry, but students are more educated now.

What did the Supreme Court say?

The court told the petitioners that the NTA has accepted your point and is removing the grace marks. These students have been given the option to re-sit the NEET exam. These students can now re-appear in the exam or appear in NEET UG Counseling with the marksheet containing the grace marks.

However, the Supreme Court said that not every student can apply for re-examination. Only those students whose time is reduced will be able to re-sit the exam. CLAT decision cannot be applied here. Advocate J Sai Deepak said that 1563 students had approached the court due to lack of time. But what about those who did not appear in court? To which the court said whether those students are here or you are looking at other briefs, don’t expand unnecessarily.

What is the contention of the petitioners?

Let us tell you that the petitioners had claimed in the Supreme Court that there was a malpractice in awarding grace marks, so the examination should be canceled and rescheduled. Regarding grace marking, NTA told the Supreme Court that 1563 students who have been given grace marks are being given the option of re-examination. Students who do not wish to retake the exam will be given their original marks without grace marks.

One of the three petitions has been filed by Physics Walla CEO Alakh Pandey. They claim that NTA’s decision to award grace marks is arbitrary. Another petition was filed by SIO members Abdullah Mohammad Faiz and Dr. Sheikh Roshan Mohiddin has been admitted to the court. In these petitions, the result of the examination has been withdrawn and re-conduct of the examination has been demanded.
