India’s young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh believes Jasprit Bumrah’s tight bowling has helped him a lot in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The Indian team has reached the semi-finals by winning 6 matches in a row. They will face England in the semi-finals. England’s performance has been mixed. The team has won four matches and lost two. The pair of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh have done brilliantly for India. Both bowlers have taken wickets and bowled economically.

Indian fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah are among the top-10 wicket takers in the ongoing tournament. After the T20 World Cup 2024 Super-8 match against Australia, Arshdeep Singh credited Bumrah for his success. Arshdeep has also appreciated Bumrah’s support. In a conversation with Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep has said that he does not face too many difficulties with Bumrah at the other end. According to Arshdeep, the pressure created by Bumrah forces batsmen to play big shots against him and because of that they get wickets.

Arshdeep Singh said, “I don’t think this is such a big problem for me. The way Jaspreet has bowled. It looks like he’s from a video game, especially with the kind of economy he’s bowling. So, whatever pressure is on the batsman, he wants to reduce it against me. They want to play risky shots and I get wickets. So a lot of credit goes to him.”

He added, “Other bowlers are also helping. They are bowling partners. One is stopping runs and the other is taking wickets. So, as a bowling unit we are doing well and the support is also good.” India’s veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has taken 11 wickets in 6 matches and Arshdeep Singh has taken 15 wickets in 6 matches. Arshdeep is just one wicket away from Afghanistan bowler Farooqui in terms of taking the most wickets.
