New Delhi. Pakistan Cricket Board has been defeated in the second match of the T20 series on England tour. The tour is important for the team before they enter the T20 World Cup under the captaincy of skipper Babar Azam. Batting first, the team scored 183 runs for 7 wickets with the help of captain Jos Buttler’s stormy fifty. Chasing the target, Pakistan batted badly and were bowled out for 160 in 19.2 overs. England have taken a 1-0 lead in the series. The first match could not be played due to rain.
Pakistan’s batting was disrupted
Chasing the target, Pakistan got off to a poor start. Mohammad Rizwan returned without opening the account in the first over. After this, Saim Ayub lost his wicket. Captain Babar Azam combined with Fakhar Zaman to take charge of the innings but Moeen Ali dismissed the Pakistani captain for 32 and Fakhar was given a return ticket to Liam Livingston for 45. Shadab Khan, Azam Khan failed to score runs.
Buttler misses out on a century
England captain Jos Buttler single-handedly laid the foundation for the team’s big score in this match. He scored a fifty off 34 balls and was dismissed for 84 runs off 51 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes. Even though he missed out on a century, he was instrumental in helping the team reach a respectable score. Will Jack played an important innings of 37 runs for the team.
Archer’s great comeback
England fast bowler Jofra Archer, who has been struggling with injury for a long time, made a brilliant comeback against Pakistan. In this match, he took wickets at the right time for the team and put Pakistan on the back foot in the match. In the quota of 4 overs, he gave 28 runs and took 2 wickets.
