Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has praised Rohit’s qualities.

Shahid Afridi praises Rohit Sharma: After Team India won the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2024) title on Saturday, it has been receiving a lot of praise from arch-rivals Pakistan. After winning the title, all the great players including Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram praised the team and the special player in one voice and called India deserving of the win. Now another former captain Shahid Afridi has praised captain Rohit Sharma’s body language in the title win. Afridi, who has played 398 ODIs and 99 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, said, ‘Look, the captain’s role is always very important. A captain’s body language affects the team. The captain has to set an example. Just look at Rohit Sharma.
Afridi said that Rohit boosted the confidence of the team with his aggressive style. He said, ‘Now look at Rohit’s game and his style of play. Because of this even the lower order batsmen play without fear as their captain likes to play aggressive cricket. So, I always believe that a captain has a very important role.
Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s father-in-law Afridi said the Pakistan Cricket Board should give the right to appoint the team captain to the national selection committee. He said, ‘I don’t know what the PCB chairman has in mind. I am also waiting to see what changes will happen, but I have always supported the team and will continue to do so.
