CBI may issue ‘Blue Corner Notice’ against Prajwal Revanna: SIT

According to the release, the officials told the Chief Minister, “We will make efforts to arrest him with appropriate action.” The CBI is likely to issue a ‘Blue Corner Notice’, which will speed up the investigation.

“They (SIT officials) have assured that as soon as they get the information from the airport, they will arrest the accused and bring him back.”

That is why the Blue Corner Notice has been issued

A Blue Corner Notice is issued by the Organization for International Police Cooperation to collect additional information from its member states about the identity, location or activities of a person in connection with a crime.

Official sources said the SIT has sent a request to the CBI, the nodal body for Interpol cases in India, seeking a ‘blue corner notice’ against Prajwal Revanna.

Hope to get information about Prajwal’s whereabouts

“Once the CBI issues this notice, the SIT is expected to get information about Prajwal Revanna’s whereabouts,” sources said.

Former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda’s grandson Prajwal (33) was the BJP-JD(S) alliance’s candidate in the Lok Sabha elections from Hassan, which went to polls on April 26.

Indecent video clips allegedly related to Prajwal Revanna went viral in recent times, following which the state government formed an SIT to probe the matter.

Prajwal is believed to have left the country on April 27.
