Champions Trophy can be held in the month of Ramzan, Pakistan sent plan to ICC, India-Pak match in Lahore…

New Delhi. The ICC Champions Trophy could be played in February-March next year. Host Pakistan has sent its plan and possible program to the ICC for this. A total of 8 teams will participate in this ICC tournament. 15 matches will be played between these 8 teams. ICC Champions Trophy is to be played after a long gap of 8 years. Pakistan last won the Champions Trophy in 2017 by defeating India.

This will be the first time since 2017 that the ICC Champions Trophy will be hosted. According to a Cricinfo report, if the ICC accepts the PCB’s plan, the Champions Trophy 2025 matches will be played between February 19 and March 9, i.e. in the month of Ramzan. Ramadan is the holy month of Muslims. During this month many Muslims do not eat anything from sunrise to sunset.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s proposed plan, the ICC Champions Trophy matches will be played in three cities. A maximum of 7 matches including the final will be held in Lahore. Apart from this, it is proposed to hold 5 matches in Rawalpindi and three matches in Karachi. According to Cricbuzz, the match between India and Pakistan may be held in Lahore.

This will be the first time since 1996 that Pakistan will host the ICC tournament. In 1996, the World Cup was jointly hosted by India and Pakistan. After this, India has held three World Cups in ODI and T20 formats. Pakistan has not been able to host any ICC tournament since 1996 due to security reasons. Many teams, including India, have not toured Pakistan for a long time.
