Chandu Champion Day 2: Chandu Champion gains momentum at the box office, Munjya gets tough on the way to collections

Kabir Khan directed movie ‘Chandu Champion’ is getting very good response at the box office. Approximately Rs. Made at a cost of 70 crores, the film has got a rating of 8.8 out of 10 on IMDb. The Karthik Aaryan, Vijay Raj, Rajpal Yadav, Yashpal Sharma and Palak Lalwani starrer may have got a slow start, but according to trade experts, by the end of the first week, the film will collect almost half of its cost. The opening day collection of the film was Rs 5 crore 40 lakh, which was much better than expected. The makers hiked the ticket price of the film to Rs 150/- on the opening day, which also benefited.

The next day i.e. Saturday saw a significant jump in the film’s earnings and according to Sacnilk’s report, the film’s 2-day collection was Rs 6 crore 75 lakh. However, the official figures of the film are yet to be revealed by the makers. According to the information available so far, the total box office collection of the film so far has reached 11 crore 50 lakh rupees. Based on the life of Muralikant Petkar, the film takes you on a roller coaster ride of thrills with lots of humor in between.

Talking about the film’s earnings by regions, it is getting the best response from Bengaluru. Currently, 32% of the movie’s business is coming from Bengaluru followed by Pune, where 27% of the movie’s business is coming from. Talking about the footfall, the best footfall in the movie is in the evening show. While the morning show has only 8% occupancy, the evening show is filling up to 34% seats. The film is facing some competition from Dinesh Vijan’s ‘Munjya’.

‘Munjya’ became difficult for ‘Chandu Champion’

The horror-comedy, which released in theaters on June 7, may have had a slow start, but then the low-budget film started showing its magic. The total collection of this film, made at a cost of only 30 crores, has crossed 50 crores. Although both ‘Chandu Champion’ and ‘Munjya’ are films of different genres, the increase in options for the audience has created a divide in the business.
