Putin expressed his condolences

He was a man with a complicated fate and made serious mistakes in his life, but he achieved the right results.”

The relationship started deteriorating from last year
Let us tell you that Prigozhin created the Wagner group of mercenaries, which in 2014 took part in the fighting in Crimea and North Africa and Syria. Relations between Putin and Prigozhin began to deteriorate during the war with Ukraine in October last year. Prigozhin protested Russia’s decision to withdraw from the strategic Russian city of Liman in Ukraine after being called up to fight in Ukraine. In February, Prigozhin accused Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Putin’s most senior general, Valery Gerasimov, of withholding ammunition and supplies to destroy the Wagner group. In June Prigozhin staged a coup d’état against the Russian army, with thousands of mercenaries marching from southern Russia to Moscow with the aim of overthrowing the military leaders. The rebellion later ended after the intervention of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
