Couple with LBSNAA: IAS and IPS officers got married for just Rs 2000, know their UPSC rank

UPSC Civil Services Exam: One more name has been added to the list of couples with LBSNAA. Another love story that started during training has turned into marriage. IAS officer Yuvraj Marmat and IPS officer P. Monica has tied the knot. Both got married in a very simple court marriage. It is being said that this couple got married for just 2000 rupees. Including two flower garlands, sweets and court fees in marriage, the total cost is Rs. 2,000 was spent. Today where people spend lakhs of crores on weddings, this couple has set a unique example of marriage with simplicity.

Raigad Collector Taran Prakash Sinha congratulated the newlyweds on this occasion. District Panchayat CEO Jitendra Yadav also congratulated the newly married officials. Additional Collector Santan Devi Jangde gave the marriage certificate to Yuvraj Marmat and P. Monika.

IAS Yuvraj Marmat is a 2022 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. He is originally a resident of Chaudh, Malar, Jaipur district, Rajasthan. Yuvraj has done B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT BHU. His father Sitaram is a retired Deputy Director Public Relations Officer. In 2013, he also cleared the GATE exam. After this he also worked in Indian Oil and Border Road Organization (BRO). Meanwhile, he also cleared the UPSC Indian Engineering Service exam. After this, he prepared for UPSC Civil Services while working and became an IAS officer by securing 458th rank in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021 in sixth attempt. Yuvraj gave mains 4 times in six attempts of UPSC Civil Services. Interviewed 2 times. The first attempt was made in 2016. In UPSC Civil Services 2021, he scored 772 marks in mains, 154 marks in interview.

IPS officer P Monika of Telangana cadre has secured 637th rank in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021. He scored 715 in mains and 179 in interview. Maunika has studied pharmacology.

Let us tell you that as per rule 5(2) of IAS cadre rules any officer can opt for inter-cadre transfer on the basis of marriage.
