Course incomplete in polytechnic and exam date fixed

Read on the application

Students of polytechnic institutions across the state are also in a state of confusion regarding the semester-annual examinations. The Technical Education Council has announced the proposed date of examination from June 22 to July 14 along with the proposed time table. Let us tell you that the exam is only nine days away but the final exam schedule and list of exam centers has not been announced yet.

Even on June 22, the proposed date of the semester examination is showing resentment among most of the students. Students are demanding the extension of the exam date to at least the first week of July on social sites. The biggest reason behind it is said to be students not completing even the semester courses. Students say that only 20 to 60 percent of the course has been completed so far. If the exam is held in such condition then you will not get good marks in the exam. Examination should be held only after completion of at least the first course. The polytechnic has more than 2.80 lakh students in the same semester. This includes engineering and pharmacy students. An attempt was made to speak to the secretary of the board, Ajit Kumar Mishra, but his phone was not picked up.

No study for three months, students worried

According to polytechnic students, Diploma in Engineering classes should last for 90 days. Not even 90 days have passed yet. Students say that classes were held but teachers were not present in the institutes for the last one and a half to two months. Due to which the course could not be completed. Pharmacy students are also in a similar situation. According to the rules, these students appearing in the annual examination should have 1200 hours of classes in one subject. But their counseling process continued till 29 December 2023. After which they entered. Then came the election.

Entrance test in three shifts from June 13 to 20
