After winning the title of T20 World Cup 2024, there is a good news related to Team India stranded in Barbados. The Indian team is soon to leave Barbados for New Delhi. BCCI has arranged a special flight to take the Indian cricket team back from West Indies. This Air India flight has been declared the Cricket 24 World Champion. The Indian media will also be on the same flight, with BCCI secretary Jay Shah promising that he will try to ensure that media personnel also go along.

Let us tell you that the Indian media that went to cover the T20 World Cup 2024 was also stuck with Team India after the final due to the storm in Barbados. Most of the journalists’ tickets were canceled and no new bookings were available before July 7. When the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI secretary Jai Shah came to know about this, he promised to expel around 22 Indian sports journalists from here. Now Indian journalists are also coming in flight with Team India directly to Delhi.

A senior sports journalist who went to West Indies for coverage of T20 World Cup has informed on his social media that all Indian journalists are also coming to Delhi in Air India flight named Cricket 24 World Champion. He praised BCCI Secretary Jai Shah. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah while talking to the media a day after becoming the T20 World Cup champion said that he will try to take the Indian media to India along with the team and now this promise is about to be fulfilled. Jai Shah also said in that press conference that he will not leave Barbados until the Indian team leaves here.

BCCI itself has informed on its social media that T20 World Cup trophy is coming home. This directly means that the Indian team will leave for New Delhi soon or has already done so, as it is night in Barbados at this time and the Indian team had to leave by nightfall. The Indian team and journalists can reach India around 4 AM IST on July 4.
