T20 World Cup Pakistan: Pakistan have made some new appointments for their team for T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan has appointed New Zealander David Reid as the national team’s mental and skill conditioning coach. David Reid is working with Chennai Super Kings in IPL from 2021 onwards. The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that Reid, who has worked with Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, will join the Pakistan team for the T20 series against England and the T20 World Cup in West Indies and America in June. Apart from this, Simon Helmut will be the new fielding coach of the team.

On these appointments, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that it is very important for us to take care of the mental health of our key players. He said in a statement that the good performance of the players on the field is completely linked to their mental health. That’s why we added David Reed. Mohsin Naqvi said that whatever work Reid has done so far, it says a lot about him. He said that I fully hope that this will be reflected in the performance of our players after Reed.

Appointed on Kirsten’s advice
The PCB said Helmut and Reid were appointed on the advice of head coach Gary Kirsten, who will join the team in England on May 19. Kirsten has been appointed Pakistan’s limited overs coach for two years. He has been the coach of the 2011 World Cup winning Indian team. Aftab Ahmed, who went to Ireland and England as fielding coach with Pakistan team, has been made high performance coach.
