CUET: CUET UG Exam from Tomorrow, Know Dress Code, Admission Timing, What to Carry, Read 10 Rules

CUET 2024: CUET UG, the examination for admission to undergraduate courses of 261 universities in the country will begin tomorrow from May 15 at 379 centers in 26 cities across the country. CUET will be held from May 15 to May 24 this year. Around 13.48 lakh candidates will appear for the exam. In which there are 7.17 lakh boys and 6.30 lakh girls. Exam city slip and admit card for May 15 to May 18 has been released. This year this exam will be conducted in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper). This year NTA will conduct the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET UG) exam in just 7 days. CUET UG exam will be conducted for the first time in such a short time. Let us tell you that 15 subject exams will be conducted in pen-paper mode and 48 subject exams will be conducted in computer based mode. A candidate can appear for a maximum of six subjects only.

1. CUET Dress Code

– Boys should wear half sleeve shirt or T-shirt. Come wearing simple pants. Pants may have pockets. Do not wear clothes with many chains and large buttons.
– Students are not allowed to wear shoes. They are allowed to wear only slippers or sandals. Women may come wearing low-heeled sandals.
– Wearing jewelery is also prohibited. Wearing sunglasses, watch or cap is not allowed to sit in the exam.
– Do not bring hair bands, amulets, belts, scarves, rings, bangles, ear drops, nose cloves, necklaces, badges, wrist watches, bracelets, earrings, metal objects.

2. If candidates are wearing cultural, traditional dress, items related to faith or religion, they must report for search at the examination center at least 1 hour before the reporting time.

CUET UG: Don’t download CUET admit card now, if you don’t follow this advice of NTA, you will be in trouble.

3. Carry the admit card and identity card with you to the centre.
All the candidates who are going to appear in CUET UG exam have to bring the admit card, passport size photograph and copy of valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID Card/Passport/Driving License) to the examination centre. Take it with you. You will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without admit card and identity card. Candidates who have two subject papers on the same day should carry two passport size photographs.

4. Photo should be same as in application form.
A passport size photograph should be affixed on each examination paper. This photo should be the same as the one placed in the application form. The test booklet code which will be on the OMR answer sheet should be on the OMR answer sheet.

5. No separate sheet will be available for rough work. Rough work should be done only in the space provided in the test booklet.

6. Students may carry only test booklet with them.
Students have to attempt 40 out of 50 questions in each subject. In the common test students have to solve 50 questions out of 60 questions. After completion of the test, students can take only the test booklet with them. The OMR sheet submitted by them should be accompanied by the supervisor’s signature at the pre-determined places.

7. It is advisable to arrive two hours early. Entry will be given only half an hour earlier.

8. Permission to carry these items
Apart from their admit card, candidates should also bring original Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID or any other photo ID proof. Bring a passport size photograph on the admit card.
– Please bring a passport size photograph to affix on the attendance sheet.
Candidates may carry one transparent water bottle.
– 50 ml bottle of hand sanitizer.

9. Bring only blue or black ballpoint pen to write the exam.

10. These items are strictly prohibited
– Electronic devices of any kind will not be allowed. Mobile phones, Bluetooth, microphones, calculators, electronic gadgets, geometry or pencil boxes, watches are not allowed.
– No food items are allowed inside the examination centre.
– You will not be allowed to wear jewelery in the examination hall.

On May 15, 16, 17 and 18, the exam will be conducted in pen paper mode, while on May 21, 22 and 24, 2024, the paper will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
