Sharad Kelkar played the villain in the film and his performance was much discussed. Sharad Kelkar recently revealed how after a knee surgery he shot a garba sequence for a song in the film. Along with this, it has come to light that Deepika Padukone helped him learn the steps despite being injured at the time.

During an interview with FilmGyan, Sharad Kelkar said, ‘I respect Deepika a lot. At that time I had a knee surgery and we were shooting Lahu Munh Lag Gaya. I had to sit and do garba. My physio told me you can’t sit because you just had surgery. You cannot bend below 90 degrees. I was not able to do this.

Shoot for 11 days with feet tape
He continued, ‘Sanjay (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) sir is a perfectionist. He said do as much as you can. I couldn’t understand the steps, but Deepika was dancing barefoot despite her leg injury. After being taped, he shot in pain for 11 days. I remember there was a step I couldn’t understand. It happens that sometimes you go blank. You see but do not understand. It was lunch time then. Deepika stayed and taught me the steps. He said you can. I will teach you. Somehow I took that step.
