New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has challenged the arrest made by the CBI in the Excise Policy scam case in the High Court. Let us tell you that CBI arrested Arvind Kejriwal on June 26 and the court sent him to CBI remand for three days. After this, the court remanded Kejriwal to judicial custody till July 12, after completing the remand.

On June 29, a special CBI court at Rouse Avenue sent Kejriwal to Tihar Jail in 14-day judicial custody. The CBI filed an application to send Kejriwal to Tihar jail in judicial custody. In its petition, the CBI accused Kejriwal of not cooperating with the investigation.

The CBI had said that Kejriwal was deliberately not answering questions related to the liquor scam. Also, Kejriwal did not answer the reason for increasing the profit margin from 5 percent to 12 percent in the new liquor policy. It was said by the CBI that when the second wave of Corona was going on in the country, why was there a need to change the liquor policy in the cabinet?
