Despite poor form, Hardik is in World Cup squad, Sunil Gavaskar’s statement on this

Mumbai. The Indian team has been selected for the T20 World Cup to be organized by America and West Indies Cricket Board. On Tuesday, April 30, chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the 15-member squad. Before the team selection, there was a lot of discussion about the all-rounder Hardik Pandya who was in bad form. The selection committee has expressed confidence and given him a chance.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels that there is no need to worry too much about Hardik Pandya’s form as a bowler ahead of the T20 World Cup as he will be a different player when he plays for the Indian team. Pandya has been retained as the vice-captain of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, although his form has been poor for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

Gavaskar told Sports Today, “There is a difference between playing IPL and playing for the country. Every player is different while playing for the country and Hardik will also be different. He has faced many problems in IPL and he has handled them well. He will be in a completely different form when playing out for India. He will enter with a positive mindset and contribute with both bat and ball.

Hardik Pandya’s Performance in IPL 2024
