New Delhi. Actress Dia Mirza married businessman Vaibhav Rethi for the second time in the year 2021. Shortly after the marriage, in May 2021, the actress gave birth to her son, but before the birth of the son, Dia Mirza became a mother. The actress is stepmother to her husband Vaibhav Rethi’s daughter Samaira. Although Dia Mirza shares a great bonding with her stepdaughter Adara, the actress said during an exclusive conversation with News18 Shosha on the occasion of Mother’s Day that her stepdaughter Adara does not call her mother.
Actress Dia Mirza of Rahena Hai Tere Dil Mein fame says, ‘She (Samaira) doesn’t call me mother. I don’t expect him to call me Ma or Mom. She has a real mother whom she calls Mata or Mummy. He calls me by my name only and because of that my son Avyan also calls me by name many times. He often calls me Diya Ma which I find very funny.
When the actress’ son said mother for the first time
Meanwhile, the actress also shared the incident when her son called his mother for the first time. Dia Mirza said her son’s first word was ‘tiger’ and called his mother several months after he started talking. “I can never forget that day,” says Dia. He started calling me mom much later. It was a very beautiful moment. There were new flowers blooming in the pot and he was in my lap.
The ‘Thappad’ actress continued, ‘I was holding Avyan on my lap and showing him butterflies when suddenly mother came out of his mouth. Coincidentally my husband had a camera in his hand at that time and he was recording the whole moment, it was a very beautiful moment.
