Don’t get us China-North Korea… Indian Minority Foundation rejects American report on minorities

New Delhi, A report released by the US State Department has raised questions about religious freedom in India. It was also said that minorities are being targeted. Their houses and shrines are being forcibly demolished. The Indian Minority Foundation (IMF) has given an apt answer to this. The foundation termed the report as absurd and biased. Also said that India is a democratic country. Don’t mistake this for China-North Korea.

IMF said, the report tries to place India with countries like Afghanistan, Cuba, North Korea, Russia and China. This is ignorance of India’s democratic constitution and its diverse society. This inaccurate portrayal undermines USCIRF’s credibility and its understanding of India’s religious freedom.
