Pakistan head coach Gary Kirsten has made a sensational statement regarding the ongoing factionalism in the team. He said in a show that Pakistan players are not supporting each other, due to which there is no unity in the team. His statement has created an uproar in Pakistan. Former Indian spinner Haranbhajan Singh on Monday sent a message to his friend Gary Kirsten asking him to step down as the head coach of the Pakistan team.

Kirsten criticized the Pakistani players for not supporting each other during their disappointing T20 World Cup campaign and said he had never seen such a toxic atmosphere in a team. Kirsten took over as Pakistan’s head coach before the tournament in the US and West Indies but was disappointed when the team lost to the US and India in the first round.

Harbhajan jokingly asked Kirsten to take back the coaching role with the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011 under his leadership. “Don’t waste your time there Gary…get back to coaching Team India,” Harbhajan wrote on ‘X’. Gary Kirsten one of the rare ones.. a great coach, mentor, honest and very dear friend in our 2011 team.. our 2011 world cup winning coach. Special person Gary Kirsten.”
