Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 became a hit

You can call Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ a hit! The film did well at the box office in its second weekend in theatres. ‘Dream Girl 2’, which released in theaters on August 25, remained strong at the ticket window despite competition from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’. The film has now crossed the mark of 80 crores. Now he is eyeing the 100 crore club.

Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collection
After a successful experiment with ‘Dream Girl’ in 2019, Raj Shandilya directed its sequel ‘Dream Girl 2’ in 2023. The film opened positively in India with a collection of Rs 10.69 crore. Now if the early trends are to be believed then ‘Dream Girl 2’ earned Rs 8 Crores on its 10th day i.e. 3rd September. So its total collection in India now stands at Rs 86.06 crore. It remains to be seen how Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ will perform on September 7.
What is ‘Dream Girl 2’?
If you are still unaware of this film, then let us tell you that ‘Dream Girl 2’ tells the story of a small town boy Karam (Ayushmann Khurrana) who is trying to lead a good life in Mathura… but his good efforts fail. After failure comes love affair. Here it needs bank balance. Only this money makes him worship Karma which brings more turmoil to his already turbulent life.
Directed by Raj Shandilya, the film is produced by Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. Apart from Ayushmann, the film also stars Ananya Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Manjot Singh.
