Johnny Lever was born on 14 August 1957 in Andhra Pradesh. He has studied only upto seventh standard. Johnny Lever had to drop out of school in seventh grade due to financial constraints. Father’s alcohol addiction increased the difficulties. To get two meals a day, Johnny Lever also sold pans on the streets. When the pen couldn’t be sold, they started impersonating actors and selling it. Johnny Lever also worked with his father in Hindustan Unilever Company. This is where he got the name Johnny Lever.
