Mainpuri seat is considered a traditional seat of Samajwadi Party, every time someone from Yadav family has won from here. This time, BJP has made Javeer Singh a candidate from here. Dimple Yadav had an exclusive conversation with NDTV on Wednesday. During the interview, he openly expressed his opinion on all issues of UP including Modi government, BJP policies, UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Asked about the mood of the UP electorate ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Dimple Yadav said, “This time the people are ready to oust the BJP. People are getting support and full support.” He said, “There has been no change in people’s lives in 10 years. BJP government has not fulfilled even one promise. People are feeling oppression in the current government. Hence people have made up their mind to remove BJP.
BJP should assess itself on the issue of nepotism
The BJP has accused the SP of nepotism, to which Dimple said, the country is a democracy, anyone can contest elections here. BJP should evaluate itself on the issue of familism. BJP’s alliance is with dynastic parties. So BJP should first check its own affairs regarding nepotism.
