New Delhi. Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore’s film ‘Aaradhana’ was the biggest hit of 1969. Farida Jalal also played an important role in this film. Farida started her career from here. All the credit for the success of ‘Aaradhana’ goes to Rajesh Khanna. Now 55 years after the film’s release, Farida has called the late superstar ‘arrogant’.
While talking to Bollywood Bubble, Farida Jalal recalled the days of the film ‘Aaradhana’. He said in an interview that working with Rajesh Khanna was very difficult. According to the report, he said – By the time Aaradhana was released, Rajesh had become a bit arrogant and after the success of ‘Aaradhana’, his arrogance increased and he did not consider anyone ahead of him.
There were frequent fights
Farida revealed that she doesn’t value Rajesh as much as her other female fans, which made the actor a bit angry with her. Due to which there were many fights between the two. He said – I asked about the rehearsal and he shouted, ‘How many rehearsals?’ I was new, I felt very bad and I said how can you say that and we had a fight.
Then became friends
However, Farida gave all the credit for the success of ‘Aaradhana’ to Rajesh and said it was a very good film. He further said that they became good friends when the film became a hit. Aaradhana remained in theaters for 75 weeks. Due to this huge success, people used to invite the entire team of the film to different cities and give us Diamond Jubilee Awards. Meanwhile, his friendship with Rajesh grew.
