Gautam Adani once again became Asia’s richest man, overtaking Mukesh Ambani

Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani has overtaken Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani to become the richest Indian. Gautam Adani, now ranked 11th in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, has also become Asia’s richest person, while Mukesh Ambani is ranked 12th in the same list.

According to this index, the Adani Group chairman’s net worth was US $111 billion (approximately ₹9,26,159 crore) at 6 pm on Saturday, while Mukesh Ambani’s net worth was US $109 billion (approximately ₹9,09,471 crore). Adani has overtaken Ambani due to increase in shares of group companies.

On Friday, the last trading day of this week, the aggregate market cap of Gautam Adani’s group of 10 listed companies crossed ₹18 lakh crore. According to the index, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani is currently the second richest businessman in Asia.

France’s Bernard Arnault tops the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a net worth of $207 billion (approximately ₹17,27,161 crore). At the same time, Elon Musk is second in the list with a net worth of US$ 203 billion (approximately Rs 16,93,786 crore). Every person ranked second through 10th in this index is an American citizen.

This week, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said in the annual report, “The challenges faced by the Group in the past year have only strengthened the Group’s resolve… The Group has unlimited possibilities ahead and I can tell you that I believe Adani Group is today stronger than ever…”

He said, “Our commitment to operational excellence and transparent disclosures has been made clear with the clean chit given to the group by the Supreme Court… This has been endorsed not only by major rating agencies but also by global investors… which stormed our test. did , it became the cause of our strength…”
