New Delhi. Indian team played against Afghanistan in Super 8 of ICC T20 World Cup. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. India’s hopes of a good start were dashed by the Afghanistan captain dismissing the top batsmen. After the flop of the greats, Suryakumar Yadav took the lead and single-handedly brought news to the Afghan batsmen.
The Indian team did not get off to the expected start in the first Super 8 match against Afghanistan. The top four batsmen of Team India were not given a chance to walk by the bowlers of the Afghan team. Captain Rashid Khan took three big wickets and put India on the back foot. Rishabh Pant, who was batting in a storm, was dismissed first, then he dismissed Virat Kohli and then took the wicket of Shivam Dubey. Suryakumar got the team out of trouble and scored a blistering fifty.
