Great former West Indies fast bowler Kurtley Ambrose said, Who is the best fast bowler in the world in current cricket?

Kurtley Ambrose on Jasprit Bumrah: Great West Indies fast bowler Curtly Ambrose admires India’s Jasprit Bumrah and does not want Bumrah to change his unconventional bowling action as he believes that every fast bowler comes into the field with the risk of injury. Currently ranked among the best fast bowlers in the world, Bumrah underwent surgery in March last year due to back problems. After a long rehabilitation period, he made a comeback during the ODI World Cup in India in November and has been in superb form ever since. Ambrose said in a phone interview to PTI that Bumrah should not change his action if there is no serious injury.

He said, “I have been a big fan of Jasprit Bumrah ever since I first saw him. He is an unconventional bowler but very effective and I like him. He has done well for India in all formats.”

“I met him a few years ago when the Indian team was playing in Antigua, it’s fun watching him bowl because he’s so different,” he said. Bumrah’s bowling action puts a lot of pressure on his back but Ambrose believes every fast bowler has to go through such risks.

He said, “My experience is that no two bowlers are ever the same. Bowlers may have similarities but they are not exactly the same. Everyone has a different style. Every fast bowler has an injury risk and everyone knows that. He Said, “You have to do your work with full efficiency. Then what will happen will happen. He should change his action only if he is seriously injured.”

Ambrose also said that international cricket has started playing a lot which is having an adverse effect on the game.

“Sports have become commercialized now,” he said. So much cricket is being played. Series after series and franchise cricket are different. It is exciting but so much cricket is a concern. Ambrose has also played a lot of limited overs cricket but believes that legends emerge from Test cricket.

He said, “I have always preferred Test cricket. I have also played one-day and four-day cricket but it is not international cricket for me. Test cricket is real cricket. At the end of your career, you will be called a legend only if you have done well in Test cricket.”
