Happy Teachers Day 2023: Second President of India Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers’ Day every year. Dr. Radhakrishnan was also a teacher and a noted philosopher. Teachers’ Day is organized to understand the importance of teachers and increase their respect. Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1988. This is the reason why 5th September is celebrated as Teacher’s Day across the country.
When do you celebrate teacher’s day?
It is said that in 1962, when Dr. When Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was serving as President, some of his former students advised him to celebrate his birthday. In this regard, Dr. Radhakrishnan suggested that instead of celebrating their birthdays, Teachers’ Day should be celebrated by fixing this day to honor teachers. And since then every year September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
