Indian men’s hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh is eager to win a gold medal in the upcoming Paris Olympics which will be a true honor for the country and the greats of the sport. Eight-time Olympic champions India ended a long wait of 41 years by winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The Harmanpreet-led team aims to win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. India has so far won a total of 12 Olympic medals with eight gold, one silver and three bronze.

“We will do our best to carry forward our history and legacy,” Harmanpreet said at an event at Jio Cinemas. After this, the team will face Argentina on July 29. After that, India will face Ireland on July 30, Belgium on August 1 and Australia on August 2.
